Blockchain entertainment studio SinglurDTV has formed CODEX, a research lab dedicated to the development and “proliferation of tokenized ecosystems”.

As well as wider research, the lab will look to add complexity and functionality to the company’s own SNGLS token.

“The first great wave of blockchain adoption is going to be because of Ethereum’s ERC20 tokenized ecosystems,” SingularDTV CEO Zach LeBeau said.

“Tokenized ecosystems are a new type of blockchain business entity that allows one to take their ideas, pace them on Ethereum’s blockchain and benefit from the power of decentralisation. The tokenized ecosystem is everything.”

CODEX will work towards spreading this model, based on ERC20 token functionality, of tokenized ecosystems to entertainment companies all over the globe.

“From time to time we are approached by various entities asking us to advise them on building their tokenized ecosystems,” LeBeau continues. “It’s been policy to turn these offers down so they don’t interfere with SingulaDTV’s focus of building a decentralised entertainment industry.”

“But on very rare occasions, an entity will come along with such a great idea and whose development ladder fits in perfectly with ours, while at the same time adding substantial value to SinglurDTV.

“In these rare cases of synchronicity, we feel obligated to form partnerships. CODEX is the place where these partnerships take place.”

The company states its mission is to build a decentralized entertainment industry through rights management gateways and peer-to-peer distribution portals.
